Predictions

My husband and I both made bold predictions earlier this year. He predicted that our beloved Red Sox would be in first place in the American League East (and the Evil Empire would be out of the playoff picture entirely). I predicted that the beloved Democrats would take the House... and maybe the Senate in the mid-term elections, again, leaving the Other Evil Empire out in the cold.

We both agreed that if only one of us could be right, it really should be me.

The Red Sox are 9 games behind the Yankees in the American League East.

Please, God. Let me be right.
